To change where the border displays on the page, you can change the margins for the border. If you want to add a page border to a page in the middle of your document, insert a section break right before the page to which you want to add the border. Select an option from the “Apply to” drop-down list to apply the border to pages in the “Whole document”, just “This section”, “This section – First page only”, or “This section – All except first page”. Now you need to tell Word to which pages you want to apply the border. NOTE: The image at the beginning of this article shows a blue shadow border applied to a page, using the options selected on the following image. Although Word for MAC has the PDF conversion possibility, only the most recent versions have the bookmarking feature. If you don’t want borders on all sides of the page, click the side on the preview where you want to remove the border. Then, select the “Style”, “Color”, and “Width” of the line in the center section of the dialog box. Scroll through the commands to Shrink One Page. In the drop-down box on the left, pick All Commands. On Mac, click Word > Preferences > Ribbon & Toolbar and select Ribbon or. On Windows, click File > Options > Customize Ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar. On the “Page Border” tab, select the type of border under “Setting”. Shrink to One Page in Word on Your Desktop.
